How I fell in love with Tai Chi Chuan

Born and raised in the southern part of Japan, Kagoshima, I've journeyed through nearly two decades in the United States. For almost ten years now, I've dedicated myself to teaching Tai Chi Chuan, driven by a fervent desire to impart its profound benefits to others as well as myself. My passion lies in nurturing the well-being of those around me through the practice of this ancient art form.

Through Tai Chi Chuan, I've embarked on a journey of self-discovery, finding deeper layers of myself with each daily session. The endless depth of learning within Tai Chi Chuan keeps me endlessly intrigued, fueling my excitement to delve further into its possibilities.

My affection for Tai Chi Chuan traces back to my childhood in Japan, where I was introduced to the world of martial arts through "Kendo," earning my 2nd Dan. Upon relocating to the U.S., my martial arts journey continued with Shotokan Karate, a practice I upheld for many years. However, after welcoming my daughter into the world, I found myself yearning for a different path—one that led me to the graceful and powerful realm of Tai Chi Chuan.

In Tai Chi Chuan, I discovered a harmonious blend of martial prowess and holistic well-being—a perfect union that resonated deeply with me. Though my journey with Tai Chi Chuan is ongoing, I stand before you today, eager to share the wonders of this art and to embark on a journey of discovery together.

May this space be a conduit for sharing the greatness of Tai Chi Chuan, and may we uncover new facets of ourselves with each step we take along this path.
